Reopening a site that hasn’t been mined in over 20 years — and training a new crew while we’re at it.

We’re two months into a contract crushing job for a customer, screening sand and MDOT 53s at a sand and gravel pit that’s been dormant for two decades. There’s something special about being part of the team that brings a site like this back to life.

Most of our crew is new to sand and gravel, but they’ve made incredible progress with help from one of our seasoned operators who’s been leading the training. From understanding material flow to dialing in the screens, they’re learning fast and producing solid results.

It’s been a great experience so far — a mix of history, hands-on learning, and real production. Proud of the team and grateful for the opportunity.
